I am honored to present my candidacy for a seat on the Board, backed by 15 years of dedicated service as a former Board member and District Council PTA President. My deep commitment to the Southwest Independent School District (SWISD) is evidenced not only by my administrative roles but also by my hands-on involvement as a Math & Reading Tutor and Substitute Teacher for over 5 years, and as Treasurer of the SW PONY League for 3 years.
In addition to my service, my academic background includes a degree in Business Administration from Trinity University. This education, coupled with my extensive managerial experience, equips me with the strategic acumen needed to address the multifaceted challenges facing our district.
I am passionate about ensuring that every student in SWISD has access to a high-quality education and that our educators have the support they need to thrive. With your support, I am eager to continue serving our community with integrity, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to excellence

Southwest ISD SA TX School Board Trustee
● Ensure creation of shared vision that promotes student outcomes.
● Establish effective structures that provide guidance and direction for accomplishing the vision.
● Ensure fiscal accountability through annual budget oversight and approval process.
● Provide support to the administration to lead the district toward accomplishing the vision.
● Provide community leadership by sharing and promoting the vision with constituents.
Southwest ISD SA TX Tutor/ Substitute Teacher
● Tutored reading for over 300 students achieving scores in the mid-90% over three years.
● Tutored history for over 50 students with lowest scores on campus achieving an 85% pass rate.
● Substitute teacher for elementary, middle school and high school students in district.
National Retail Company District Manager
● Profit & Loss responsibility for South Texas district with 10 sites, 50 team members and $10 million in sales.
● Trained all District Managers in regions west of the Mississippi in Communication Skills, Performance Handling and Gaining Commitment to Goals.
● Recruited, selected, interviewed and trained site managers to run their businesses all over TX.
● Planned, scheduled and executed quarterly district meetings for human resource training.
● Trained site managers to recruit quality applicants, review potential employee applications and resumes and select applicants according to best fit for job requirements.
● Trained site managers and teams in corporate policies and procedures.
● Completed for my team and trained site managers to do annual succession planning, annual employee evaluations and 30/60 day employee action plans for underperformers.
● Approved and completed all new hire, promotion, termination and benefit paperwork for teams.
● Assigned and tracked budgets and hourly payroll matrixes according to productivity.
● Audited businesses for compliance in all aspects of day to day operations.
● Assessed teams in underperforming businesses and made decisions regarding need for additional training or necessary personnel changes across districts and regions for company.
